Testimonials

Giorgio owned and operated the International Test Pilots School (ITPS) at Woodford, England. The Canadian Air Force chose the ITPS Graduate Test Pilot course for the extraordinary variety of unique training experiences it offered on a variety of aircraft ranging from the MiG-29 to the Airbus Beluga. My 13 1/2 months on this course, flying 30 aircraft and 7 simulators in 5 countries with a great many different organisations, was the most exciting and rewarding time in my military career. Most of the exercises demanded a great deal of inovation, perseverence, business risk, and interpersonal skills on Giorgio's part for success. I honestly don't know another soul on the planet who could have pulled off such an ambitious training and business plan as he did. The success of my course was due above all to Giorgio's exceptional skills and efforts, and for that I am very grateful. Thanks again, Giorgio!

To Whom it May Concern,
This is to certify that I am a graduate of the 2004 Test Pilot Diploma Course, presented by ITPS Canada at CFB Cold Lake in Canada. The Belgian Defense contracted ITPS Canada in 2004 to provide a specially tailored course in Performance, Flying Qualities and Avionics flight test methods of six month duration, as one of only two schools in the world able to offer such a program (the others offer either a one year program, or partial training over six months). The objective of the program was to train a fighter pilot with recent experience on F-16 MLU to test pilot standard, able to undertake test and evaluation on behalf of the Belgian Air Component. Mr. Clementi was responsible for designing the program and for its management and execution. The course was successfully completed in December 2004 after I had flown ten different aircraft types ranging from light twin engines to the CF-18 Hornet and Lockheed Electra. The course included flying on a number of jet fighters and trainers including CF-18, CF-104, T-38, SIAI S-211, Lockheed T-33 and Cessna Citation 500. I am presently the official fixed wing test pilot for the Belgian Defense. I can attest that the training I received at ITPS fully equipped me for my present duties. The instructors that taught on the program were highly professional and experienced. Mr. Clementi took his responsibilities very seriously and was open and honest during contractual discussions. He proved to be responsive to the Defense’s requirements and acted promptly to ensure that all training objectives were met. The Belgian Defense was entirely satisfied with the program delivered by ITPS Canada under Mr. Clementi. Subject to our normal procurement procedures and regulations the Belgian Defense would have no hesitation in entrusting the training of further test pilots to ITPS.
Yours Faithfully,

I am a graduate of the 1997 Test Pilot Graduate Course, presented by the International Test Pilots School at Woodford England. The Managing Director of the school was Mr. Giorgio Clementi. Mr. Clementi designed a special program at the request of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF). The course was taught by some very experienced British test pilot instructors and was very demanding. The groundschool was of a very high standard and included regular examinations for key subject areas. Mr. Clementi was the principal instructor and supervised all my evaluation exercises which were conducted at military and industry flight test centres around the world. Coming from an F-16 fighter background, I had the opportunity to evaluate a number of very interesting aircraft including MiG-21, Saab SK37 Viggen, Sukhoi SU-30 and Boeing CF-18D, I flew many other types including the CALSPAN Lear 25 In-Flight Simulator, Slingsby T-67, Hunting Jet Provost T MK 5 and Embraer Tucano. Mr. Clementi also arranged for the final assessment exercise to be on the CF-18D which I flew at Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake. In conclusion, I feel the training I received at ITPS was of a very high standard and prepared me very well for my duties as test pilot in the RTAF.
Sincerely Yours,
Wing Commander Krisda Supich

Giorgio provided a customised test pilot program at ITPS which included exposure to a wide variety of modern aircraft including the A-320, VISTA F-16 and Gripen. The instructor team selected was first class and I was very well prepared for my role of test pilot on the Gripen and Hawk. I have sub- sequently also had the opportunity to work as instructor on an ITPS fighter weapons program. Based on this experience I have no hesitation recommending Giorgio and ITPS to any organisation requiring flight test or fighter weapons training.

I had the opportunity to work with Giorgio Clementi over the period April 2002 to March 2005 in my capacity as Compliance Verification Engineer, EASA approved, for Flight Test at AGUSTA SPA, in Italy.
During that time Giorgio was employed as a consultant Flight Test Engineer/Analyst on a number of helicopter certification flight test programs, dealing with JAR/FAR 27 and 29 Performance, Flying Qualities and Cockpit Workload.
Giorgio’s duties included the preparation of test plans, analysis of flight test data and the writing of certification reports. He proved to be a competent flight test engineer, highly motivated to do well and able to deliver work of a high standard and inside the assigned timeframe. He adapted quickly and well to his new position.
I worked most closely with Giorgio on the AB139 Man Machine Interface and Cockpit Workload Assessment for the certification of this new Agusta model for IFR flight.
Subsequently Giorgio was assigned the same task on the A 109 LUH helicopter, a new version of the A109 with a fully integrated avionic package. Giorgio undertook this particular challenge with enthusiasm and applied his experience to implement an approach and test methodology that were well received by the Italian Certification Authority (ENAC-RAI) and, subsequently, by the FAA.
His certification reports on Pilot workload and Man Machine Interface set a high standard and demonstrated a high level of technical competence. During his time at AGUSTA Giorgio collaborated well with his colleagues at the flight test department.
He left AGUSTA in March 2005 to take up the position of Head of Flight Test at Diamond Aircraft.
I have no reservations in recommending Giorgio Clementi as a consultant Flight Test Engineer/Analyst.

Letter of Recommendation
Giorgio Clementi was employed as a contractor at Diamond Aircraft Austria in the position of Head of Flight Test. During his time in Austria Giorgio proved to be an effective manager and flight test professional. His duties included the day to day management of flight test activities at Diamond, test flying Diamond DA-40 and DA-42 aircraft during certification and development flight tests, and approving all flight test planning and reporting as Certification Verification Engineer (CVE) for Flight Test. Giorgio took his responsibilities very seriously but was able to balance the demands of running a disciplined flight test organization with those arising out of project and commercial considerations. He demonstrated a high level of competence in flight test as a manager, test pilot and engineer. Giorgio's efforts in instilling a professional culture of flight test, through a program of in-house training, won praise from the Austrian Civil Aviation authority, in particular with reference to his high standards of technical report writing. These efforts won him the loyalty of his subordinates and did much to improve the morale of the flight test group. Giorgio can be forceful on issues that he feels demand it, but is generally easy going and a good team player and was respected by his colleagues during his time here. Giorgio left Diamond Austria to manage the D-Jet flight test program of Diamond Aircraft Industries in Canada. I have no hesitation in recommending Giorgio for any flight test position for which his education and experience render him suitable.

Back in 1999 I was sent to the UK by my company to attend a Flight Test Engineer Diploma Course at the ITPS former home of Woodford and that ́s where I first learned about Giorgio Clementi ́s work. I had been recently hired by EMBRAER and had only 6 months experience in Flight Test and yet Giorgio and his staff were able to guide my thinking well, showing the many meanders that exist in this profession.
The training included most of the aspects of flight testing, starting from the basic Mathematical refresher and Report Writing Standards, going by the Performance and Flying Qualities disciplines and reaching as far as Radars, Weapons Aiming, Hazardous Flight Testing, Icing Campaigns and a very good module in Certification Standards.
The flight experience included a myriad of types: Socata TB-10, Cessna 172R, PA-23 Aztec, Britten Norman 2 with FLIR and Night Flying, Bae 146, CAP 10B, Aero Vodochody L-29, Katana DV-20, Bell 206, DO-228 Maritime Radar, Jet Provost , Prototype Airbus A340-500 in Toulouse, Jetstream 400 Mk1 and even a Weapon Aiming mission with inert Mk82 CCIP delivery Flight Test in a Cheetah D at OTB Test Range in South Africa. This incredible assortment of types has allowed my to see many different flight characteristics, preparing me to the challenging milestone of participating as a Flight Test Engineer in the EMBRAER 170 Certification Program, as a senior Flight Test Engineer in the EMBRAER 190 Certification Program and recently as Responsible Flight Test Engineer for the EMRBAER 195 Certification Program.
This supreme quality training put forth by Giorgio has undoubtly contributed in a fundamental way for my Flight Test Engineer Carrier and I have no reservations in recommending him to the flight test community.

During my test pilot course at the International Test Pilot School in England - sponsored by Fairchild-Dornier - I met Giorgio Clementi Managing Director of ITPS. Giorgio went to great lengths to provide a program of training that would adequately prepare my colleagues and me for the testing of a fly-by-wire airliner. Giorgio's innovative approach to flight test training allowed us to evaluate an actual fly-by-wire airliner prototype as part of the course. I fully endorse Giorgio's capabilities as a flight test training provider.

To Whom it May Concern,
Giorgio has solid and extensive background on flight testing and flight test training, both as instructor and manager. He just ran a flight test course in London (On) Canada where I saw him effectively integrating local resources and national/international know-how. Giorgio’s standard, being the ITPS standard, is to provide the students with high quality training. He selects, without exception, a group of expert organizations and individuals to reach the training goal. Giorgio is the right person to come for any academic and in-flight military and civil aviation special training.

To Whom it May Concern,
It is a genuine pleasure and an honour for me to submit some comments regarding Mr. Giorgio Clementi. I had the opportunity to work as Chief Test Pilot at Diamond Aircraft Industries since March 2007, while answering to Giorgio - Manager Flight Test.
During the period I worked with Giorgio, he always showed high standards of commitment with the company objectives, proposing and implementing ways to improve the flight test operations.
The Company Flight Test Operations Manual, regarded as an excellent guidance for the Department by many external consultants, was one of his achievements. I also witnessed Giorgio leading the manning of the Department with intense effort to make sure the company commitments were fulfilled, growing from a small operation to a 25+ people organization in less than 8 months in a controlled and safe way.
Giorgio's extensive list of contacts in the flight test community was useful to find high qualified professionals to join flight test at Diamond and to find ways to improve our operation.
Giorgio always showed a 'can do' attitude, looking to ways to perform the job in a safe and productive way. In everyday activities it was pleasure to work with him. He looked to ways to have the best from his workers at the Department, and managed to create a professional and positive environment.
People working with Giorgio were entitled with responsibility and accountability, and under his guidance we achieved an excellent level in the operation.
I could continue with more comments on Giorgio, but will instead say that I really have a great respect for his abilities, and that I think he will be an excellent asset in any company.
Sincerely,
Daniel R. Ribeiro
